We are excited to introduce Travis Vaughn as the presbytery’s new Executive Director of Church Planting. Travis comes to us from Atlanta where he was the executive director of Metro Atlanta Collective, a network of leaders who plant, strengthen, and renew churches throughout the city. His experience will aid our goals of reaching the lost and renewing communities.
We are extremely grateful for God’s provision of Travis and his giftings at the right time for this movement of church planting. God has given different leaders at different times, and Travis’ ability to build ecosystems and care for planters and potential planters as we plant more churches will be invaluable for the next iteration of TVP church planting. You might say he was our “5-Star” recruit, and God brought us all together for a time such as this.
Travis earned his master’s from Covenant Theological Seminary. In addition to his work with Metro Atlanta Collective, he helped found theAtlanta Church Planting Alliance. He also serves on the board of The Advance Initiative, and he’s served as a consultant and coach to pastors and non-profit/private sector leaders. In the realm of teaching and speaking, Travis has taught at Covenant Theological Seminary and Metro Atlanta Seminary, he’s been a guest speaker at Emory University and Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, and he’s presented at various church planting and faith and work conferences.
Travis and his wife, Robin, own and operate a small business called Vaughn Group together, and they have been a part of Perimeter Church for many years. They have been involved in church planting, campus ministry, and other church/parachurch ministries throughout their marriage, and they have three adult children – two sons and one daughter. The Vaughns enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, and exploring the mountains, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the area.
